Your wedding date is getting closer and closer. As the maid of honor why not host a Pure Romance Party for the bride to be? These fun and tasteful bachelorette parties are a great way to start the evening off before heading out on the town. Have all the girls over at your home, break out the bubbly and some savory appetizers and let the consultant show you all the products available!
So what can you expect from hosting a party? Pure Romance breaks it down as follows:
“A trained consultant will come to your house and provide a night of unforgettable fun for you and your girlfriends. From innovative ways to spice up your relationship to sexual health information you wished you had learned a long time ago, a Pure Romance party is anything but typical. Unlike shopping in a store or online, your guests will learn how each product works and how it can enhance your most intimate moments. The part? Ordering is confidential so your guests can ask questions and shop in private.”
They have a wide variety of products from beauty to massage oils to toys and games to keep the fire burning. Come meet them in person and book your next party at The Art of Weddings Bridal Show on March 26th, 2014.

We live in a rustic state. When you venture 20 – 30 min outside of the city of Portland it turns to farmland very quickly. That is one of the things I love about this state. It reminds you that the simple life isn’t too far away. That the basics are grown in our own backyard. We are blessed to have apple orchards, vineyards, farm fresh eggs and so much all around us. I come from the midwest and all those things remind me of back home. When I think of country settings I love see horses grazing in the fields and old barns with bales of hay stacked high. This is the inspiration for this wedding decor post. Here are a few ideas that come to mind for creating the ultimate chic rustic wedding.
Horse shoes. They remind me of playing in my grandparents backyard, tossing the heavy metal shoes through the air hoping to hear the ting when it hits the metal post. They are also a symbol of luck and why not have a little luck at your wedding? From invitations which you can find at Minted.com to cufflinks for your man, there are a lot of fun ways to add this symbol to your event. Here are few we love.
Hay bales are another fun and easy way to change the look of your event instantly. Take away the traditional white plastic chairs and bring in rows of hay. Add bright blankets to the tops or keep them simple with white or cream linens. We also love the reception table seating set up with hay, how cool is that?! We know it would be a wow factor at any event.
The mason jar. It has made an appearance at many backyard weddings and has so many uses. Whether it’s holding flowers as center pieces on your tables or pre-made cocktails are sealed tight and kept cold in a tub filled with ice, you can find a way to incorporate them into your rustic wedding.
Whatever you decide to do to create that rustic country feel, go with it and enjoy it! It should feel relaxed and fun for your wedding guests. Cheers!
