The countdown to the Art of Weddings Bridal Show 2013 is on! We are less than a month away from bridal show bliss! On January 3rd, 2013 at the Portland Armory, Art of Weddings hosts who we consider the most elegant of the wedding vendors in Portland. It is easy to win a set of tickets to this year’s show just by signing up for newsletter. All you need to do to sign up for the newsletter and be entered in the drawing is type your email in the designated box on the top right side of the page. We will randomly choose a new subscriber by December 25th (would make a great Christmas bonus!) to win tickets to the event on January 3rd, 2013.

The annual Art of Weddings Bridal show is exactly one month away! We get so excited for this show every year. It brings together Portland’s best wedding professional’s for an evening of celebration and stunning displays. This year will feature a fashion show from David’s Bridal. We are excited for them to showcase their lovely gowns at our event. We bought our gown from them and we were so thrilled with how good it fit right off the rack. You too can find your perfect gown at the January 3rd, 2013 Art of Weddings bridal show.

Foodie Friday: Liquid Catering - My Bartender

Do you want to stay away from serving cheap whiskey/cokes at your wedding reception? Wedding Reception alcohol is a touchy subject for almost every bride and groom. It can be expensive and not putting money into it may mean you are serving cheap beer and bad cocktails. To help solve alcohol dilemmas you could bring in a third party. Consider bringing in an outside bartender. There is a such thing as liquid catering, and Portland has a wedding vendor that masters it; My Bartender.

My Bartender helps the party happen…anywhere. They can set up mobile bar stations to serve whatever wedding reception libations are in order. Going with My Bartender doesn’t mean you have to give up the idea of a cash bar either. My Bartender offers cash bar set ups, beer and wine bars, and full service bars. My Bartender also offer something unique in that they will help you design your own specialty cocktails just for your reception! That had me really excited. Sounds like the best of both worlds. You can control how much you spend by offering only a couple of signature cocktails that guests will remember.
