The Art of Weddings is a swankier kind of bridal show held each winter in a more intimate, luxurious space than the typical convention hall. 2011′s event was so popular, though, that they’re moving to a larger, but still very chic space in the Pearl District. On Thursday, January 19th, 2012, we invite all future brides along with their friends to join us at Pure Space Portland from 6:00 pm – 9:30 pm for a one-of-a-kind bridal event.
Tickets are on sale NOW! Simply click here to purchase or visit The Art of Weddings and click on “event registration.” If you purchase your ticket by November 30th and enter the code EARLYBIRD2012, you’ll save $5 off the standard ticket price of $20. (Does not apply to VIP tickets.) For the first time in the history of Art of Weddings, we’re super excited to announce a limited number of VIP tickets will also be available for purchase. These tickets will grant each ticket holder entrance to the event one hour prior to standard ticket holders (that’s 5:00 pm instead of 6:00 pm), cover the cost of one extra special gift bag, signature cocktails and a reserved seat for the fashion show. We definitely can’t wait to see the 2012 bridal fashion show with all the amazing gowns accompanied by live music courtesy of John Ross.
REALLY, you don’t want to miss this one! The Art of Weddings website is updated regularly with links to all the sponsors and vendors you’ll find at the event, so be sure to check that out. You can also catch a great video (seen below) by Ambient Sky Couture Imagery that showcases the 2011 event. Get your tickets now!

Whew, sorry for stepping out for a bit but we needed a little break after the Art of Weddings 2011 event. It’s a lot like planning a wedding so we decided we needed a little honeymoon after it was over! It went really well. Portland Center Stage was transformed into a showcase for Portland’s top wedding vendors. They all created beautiful displays and spent the evening chatting with engaged couples. The fashion show was fun, with live music being played by John Ross as the lovely ladies walked. Below are some images from the event, thanks to Jessica Hill and Ryan Maher for taking some pics of the event. Click on any of the images below to see them bigger. Enjoy!
Wow, 2011 is here! I’m excited to have a new year ahead of us. 2010 was a rough one for many of us and hopefully you made it through it without to many major issues. Even if you did, good or bad, there is always something to be learned.
This week is the final week to tie together all the loose ends for the annual event The Art of Weddings. Each year it does get a bit easier but there are always challenges that come up. It’s really a lot like hosting a wedding, you start planning early by picking your date & location and then work on all the details. Being flexible is key to a big event especially right now! This Thursday evening after all the vendors have set up all day, the doors will open at 6pm for engaged couples to sip on sake cocktails, sample sweets and view stunning displays. I always get so excited when I see all the hard work come together, it’s really a fun thing to experience. We hope to see you there, whether you are just starting to plan your event or need to find one more vendor to check off your list, you’ll find experienced & creative professionals to help you out!
Tickets available online. We recommend buying them online and printing them out so you can get thru the line faster. Oh, and don’t forget the fashion show with local designers and fabulous gift bags! Fun, fun!
