We are so excited for the tenth annual Art of Weddings Bridal Show! We started with a vision on a napkin while chatting with a friend at a coffee shop and it has grown ever since. The goal was and has always been to keep the event relaxed, fun and non-pressured. We think you should be able to meet and talk to vendors without feeling like you have to book them on site. Of course you can if you fall in love but the goal is for your and your fiance to celebrate your engagement in a stylish atmosphere.
If you haven’t already, now is the time to reserve your tickets online. Get a discounted price of only $8 each when you enter the code: PCS online and you will also be automatically entered for the opportunity to win a whole wedding from the Lucky in Love contest (valued at over $20,000). Otherwise get them at the door for $15 each.
We always love having it at the modern and beautiful Gerding Theater at the Armory in downtown Portland. Parking is on street and in nearby lots. Coat check on hand in case it’s a rainy evening.
View stunning photography, sample culinary delights, snack on a sweet cupcake and hop in a photo booth for some silly memories. Stay around for a featured fashion show by local fashion designer Michelle DeCourcy and walk away with ideas to plan your perfect wedding day! See you this Wednesday evening from 6-9pm!
We’ve said it before, the save the date and the invitation are the first thing that your guests and family will see. It sets the tone for your wedding day. Will it be modern or elegant? Will it be fun & witty or vintage charm? It’s amazing how a piece of paper with graphics on it can do all that; evoke a mood and style. We have always loved graphics and deep down wanted to be a graphic designer but had some icky professors at college so we changed course. This is probably good since the west coast is filled with talented designers. One whom will be showcasing at The Art of Weddings Bridal Show this Wednesday, March 26th, from 6-9pm. Meet Nimbi Design.
From the Oregon nature series to the french country theme invitations we are head over heels with their designs. Then get a laser cut cake topper to “top” off your dessert at your reception. Here are some of Nimbi’s great designs. Visit them in person at the Art of Weddings Bridal Show and by attending the event you will be entered to win all your wedding day vendors with Nimbi being one of them!

You could win a wedding valued at over $20,000! Yes you read that correctly. All the vendors you need from a photographer to the venue to a caterer you could win in an awesome contest called,

Laser cut designs are showing up in more and more weddings. They have always been available in paper products and personally, we love the intricate look. It’s delicate and modern at the same time, such as in the invites shown below. What we are excited to see is this idea showing up on wedding cakes. It turns an all white cake into a visual statement at your reception. Guests will be staring at the lovely design wrapped around your cake all evening!
Want to make an entrance when you walk down the aisle? Then a wedding gown with laser cut details will certainly do that. Whether your dress is short or long it adds a graphic design element to something that is normally princess like. Since we are fans of bold, modern art and design we love this overall look for an event. Don’t go overboard with it but instead add a few key elements throughout your day to tie it all together. Start with the invites, then your dress and add a few interesting details at the reception such as the fun hummingbird name cards on the glasses. Have fun!
