Fascinator Fashion – Ellen Marie

I have the vintage wedding bug! I can’t stop finding fun vintage accessories and this time around I was inspired by the amazing fascinator designs I found by Ellen Marie right here in Portland. A wedding fascinator is a unique way to include a vintage headpiece that completes a vintage wedding look. The word fascinator originally referred to a fine, lacy head covering akin to a shawl and made from wool or lace, but mostly feathers.

Ellen Marie gives helpful insight on how to wear a fascinator on her website, “Fascinators and hair flowers can be attached any place you like them on the head, and can be worn either with a veil (on top or underneath, it is your choice), or on their own at a rehearsal dinner or reception.  Most fascinators come with secure alligator clips, although a comb, barrette, or other attachment can be used on the back.  I can even convert fascinators into brooches, if you are looking for a wedding gown sash brooch or gown decoration.  Just contact me prior to placing your order and I will work with you to make sure the fascinator you like can be customized with a different backing type. ”

Here are some of the designs from Ellen Marie.
