Summer Wedding Food On A Stick

Summer Wedding Cocktails

From Southern Living, this is one heck of a yummy treat. Bubbly frozen fruit popsicles with a splash of Presecco. Be sure to use fresh fruit (preferably local), and this is a sure winner. I am already dreaming of raspberries  blackberries, cherries, and strawberries for all of you Oregon brides.

This is a great DIY wedding idea. Make your own otter pops as specialty cocktails inside or on the side. The sky is the limit with this one. Found from The Scent of Green Bananas.

Snow cones? Yes, please. Beer snow cones? Bigger yes. For all of those beer lovers in Oregon, try beer snow cones for your wedding reception.  Use any beer. If you want to add a little more refreshment, try combining a lighter beer and lemonade to make the snow cones. be sure to test out the combo before you serve it to wedding guests! LOVE THIS!  So cute. What a great wedding idea. From A Practical Wedding. Dye flour with food coloring and make a trail to the wedding path. Flour won’t harm anything and can be any color you want!

Fresh Wedding Colors for 2013

Adding gold into a mint wedding palette makes mint seem almost royal. This is a fabulous color palette. It is cool, but with depth and vibrancy. Shades of yellow are really popular wedding colors this year! This is bright, fun, and sweet. The link said this was from Wedding Part Gallery, but the link did not work.

This is my favorite combination of the day! These sweet pastels are fresh, crisp, but with a true romance feeling. This offers a perfect wedding color palette to do so many fun things. I haven’t seen a lot of butterfly wedding decor out there lately, but these are lovely! I would use these in my house after the wedding! A set of 30 butterflies for $45.00 from BugsLoft.

Bridal Shower or Reception Juice Bar Ideas

See! This looks so fun, and the colors are beautiful! I love the added touch with the mason jar lids on this one. From Cobblestone Rue.

The colors are still fabulous! I love orange for weddings. See my recent DIY Dried Fruit Wedding Garland post for proof. Another great example of a juice bar done right! Lots of details make this the perfect juice bar, if a juice bar is a good idea…the jury is still out. This inspiration from Vermont Vows.

Ummm…now we are talking! This is a wedding idea I can jump behind! An upgraded version of the juice bar idea. Still great colors, but somehow adding booze makes it not seem so sugary! I am aware I may be the only one who thinks that. Lol! Now that we’ve seen some juice bars done right…here is one done wrong. Could not find the source for this one.

This seems like an advertisement for Simply Orange and all its’ brothers and sisters. Neutral vases or pitchers are the way to go. This is a definite wedding don’t in my book.

Perfect Summer Wedding Favors

This works in any season, but mojitos are particularly tasty int he summer and these little mojito kits are adorable. Even better if you are featuring a mojito type drink as a signature cocktail at the reception. Couldn’t find the source for this from Pinterest.

So cute! You can find plenty of honey at the local Farmer’s Market, in our case here in Portland, the Portland Farmer’s Market usually has several fresh honey vendors with all types, lavender honey, clover honey, raspberry honey and more! Yum! From Something Borrowed PDX.
